Granite handles hot pans, but sudden extreme shifts can stress any stone. Use a trivet for very high-heat cookware to protect the sealant.
Mild dish soap and warm water on a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive powders, vinegar, lemon, and generic bathroom cleaners — all can dull the polish.
Granite is hard, but use cutting boards to protect both knives and stone. Wipe spills quickly — especially oil and wine — to protect unsealed or honed surfaces.

Most forgiving; easiest to wipe and re-polish. Shine dulls only with repeated harsh cleaner use.
Matte surfaces can etch slightly with acids. Mild soap and water keep it calm; reseal when needed.
Low-glare and fingerprint-resistant. Periodic resealing keeps the texture looking rich and hides everyday marks.
